Malaysia’s international airport, Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is only 45 minutes drive from Pulau Indah. It caters to both passenger flights and cargo flights, which is an excellent entry and exit point via air.
Location – 60 kilometres from Pulau Indah to KLIA
Capacity – 25 million passengers and 650,000 tons of cargo per year
Main Operator – MASkargo and KLAS Cargo
Other than KLIA, there is also the Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT) located 20 km away from the KLIA Main Terminal Building (MTB). It is specifically built to cater to the increasing number of passengers of Malaysia’s first ‘no-frills’ airline, AirAsia.
Formerly known as Subang International Airport, the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport is also conveniently located in Subang, Selangor. Subang Airport serves as the centre for another low-cost carrier, Firefly, and caters for Berjaya Air operations to Tioman, Pangkor and Redang Islands, apart from common aviation and occasional turboprop domestic flights.
